Founded by Sadananda Hira, who grew up near the vibrant city of Kolkata, India, our story begins with a deep love for traditional home-style cooking. Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Indian kitchens, Sadananda pursued professional training at the Institute of Hotel Management, Guwahati, and gained experience working in several luxury hotels.

After bringing his expertise to the United States, he began operating Cafe Noa in Montpelier, Vermont, where he continued to share his passion for food with the local community.

With a strong desire to bring authentic Indian takeout to a new audience, Sadananda found Stowe to be the perfect place to follow his dream. Saffron by Dodo’s Kitchen was created to offer fresh, flavorful Indian dishes made with care, tradition, and quality ingredients.
